Born in Phoenix, Arizona, raised in California (re-located in AZ in 1990), Latonya Adkins have gained extensive experience in the beauty industry with years of knowledge as a hair stylist, image consultant and fashion designer. Realizing that hair and fashion are all tied together it became her passion to inspire women to look their absolute best from head-to-toe.          

 

Hair Stylist

Inspired by her mother, a licensed stylist and educator, Latonya entered the beauty industry as a hair stylist.  She specialize in ALL extensions and designs custom hair units/wigs. Her clients come from "All Over" including California for their personal hair care service.  

 

Latonya continually studies the latest techniques, products and hair styles. She also focus on helping her clients improve the health and condition of their scalp while offering home solutions for all hair types. Whether chemically treated or natural, whatever the texture; healthy, beautiful hair is always her goal. 

 

Latonya designs custom Hair Units. Whether for fashion, convenience, or to compensate women experiencing hair loss or thinning due to extreme hair care, chemical abuse, hormonal imbalance, hereditary, emotional stress or age. She is proud to design custom hair units that make women feel and look beautiful for any occasion. 

 

Latonya has volunteered for the "Look Good Feel Better" (LGFB) program. The LGFB program helps women cancer patients to improve their appearance and self-image by providing them with hands-on beauty techniques and how to manage their appearance-related side effects of radiation and chemotherapy treatment.

 

Fashion Designer 

In addition to hair, Latonya has a passion for fashion design. She began her fashion forward women’s apparel that celebrates a woman’s silhouette through elegant prints and luxury fabrics. Self taught with over 10 years as an image consultant and fashion stylist she began working as an independent fashion designer in 2009.  Latonya decided to advance her field experience by auditioning for and chosen to present her fashion brand at 2011 Phoenix Fashion Week. As her brand expanded, so did the accomplishments and opportunities to have her fashion line sold exclusively in two boutiques in Arizona. Latonya's brand primary signature is exaggerated pants and sleeves, flowy dresses and exotic prints.  

 

Latonya fashion designs have been featured in many events throughout Arizona and gained respect and recognition from clientele, family and friends for style and "polished" looks. She have appeared on ABC 15 fashion segment twice featuring her fashions and offering Wardrobe tips; styled employees for Savers Thrift Store to celebrate its grand opening in Scottsdale, AZ; featured signature pieces on azFamily3 fashion segment; designed a couture ankle length dress coat for Project Ethos; coordinated several runway fashion show as well as had her fashion line featured in several runway fashion shows around Arizona. She is presently working on a new collection which will represent several signature pieces with the newest couture design made entirely of hair extensions.
